We had a fantastic real-estate experience selling our home with Danny DeKinder from Keller Williams. If you are attempting to buy or sell a house in Oklahoma City, Danny DeKinder is my first and best recommendation. He made it possible to get our house ready to sell, put it on the market, navigating a complex corporate real estate package that four other realtors refused to touch, and had 7 people schedule visits to our home with an offer for full asking price within two days.

You should also know that we had a truly terrible realtor experience in selling our home in Oklahoma City. It was on the market for eight months, after which we began to look for a new realtor.

Against the advice of our Corporate Relocation Company, who seemed still to mean well, but who did not seem to understand the Oklahoma City real-estate market, I looked at realtors in the Oklahoma City area. While I did have some seemingly good choices, four separate brokerages refused to continue with us once we mentioned Company.

We were unsure of what to make of this and two weeks had gone by. My parents suggested the Glenn Beck, Real Estate Agents I Can Trust, who had provided some excellent choices in another state for them, so I decided to call. I had two people call right away, but Danny DeKinder was a clear choice from our first phone conversation. As an Army Veteran of OEF 05-07, I recognized the discipline, straightforward communication, respectful treatment of my spouse as well as myself, honor, and dedication of excellence from Mr. DeKinder, who was also a 20 year Air Force Veteran. I very quickly trusted him, his judgement, and his network of people we needed to get our house back into shape. With two Master’s Degrees, leadership experience, and outstanding service to his country, fellow Veterans will quickly recognize a realtor capable of operating at a higher level.

Danny was patient with us as we thought we needed to have him sign up to be a realtor with our Corporate Relocation Company, and was willing to take the 42.5% “Finder’s Fee” cut out of his commission, but we decided that we would not ask him to do this. Our benefit, was surprisingly the same, or nearly so, without paying a lot more in realtor fees and asking our high powered realtor to give up another 42.5% of his commission with two agreements. Danny also agreed to a more unusual request we had to not operate on Sunday, as we asked for divine assistance to sell our house, something our previous realtor repeatedly ignored. He agreed, and the results were nothing less than astonishing.

He made sure we knew that we were in charge, and we were shocked at how fast and how efficient our house was put back together, although new damage to our kitchen cabinets wasn’t something we could fix or the large stains or damage to the carpet, even when re-cleaned by the same people who cleaned it originally. Our fence was repaired again in one day for a really great price. Our house was ready to go in record time, we had an offer for full price within two days back on the market, and the other realtor commented that the house price was fair. Danny is the only realtor I would recommend in Oklahoma City and by far the best one I have ever worked with or talked to in Oklahoma, or in several other places we have lived. He and his wife also cleaned our house, bathrooms, and vacuumed the carpet refusing payment for their service, above and beyond their duty.

My choice to try Glenn Beck, choose another outstanding Veteran, and let him take the lead, nearly made up for the dreadful mistakes we made in allowing our moving company to choose a realtor for us.
